Reservation Terms and Conditions

The applicable terms and conditions depend exclusively on the rate selected at the time of booking.

The Hôtel Saint-Charles offers the following rate categories, among others:

  • Non-refundable and non-cancellable rate;
  • Flexible rate, cancellable up to 7 days before arrival;
  • Flexible rate, cancellable up to 24 hours before arrival;
  • Flexible rate, cancellable up to the day of arrival (2:00 p.m.);
  • Promotional offers subject to specific terms and conditions.

The specific terms and conditions applicable are reviewed before the reservation is confirmed and are included in the confirmation sent to the guest.

 

Breakfast

The breakfast buffet is not included in the room rate, unless a promotional offer or negotiated rate (for businesses, travel agencies, or tour operators) expressly provides for it.

Rates

  • €12 per adult
  • €6 per child up to and including age 12, upon presentation of proof of age.

 

Prices and Payment

Rates vary depending on the dates of stay, the booking period, and availability. The applicable prices are those displayed during the guest’s search and confirmed at the time of booking.

Rates are listed in euros (€) and include all taxes (TTC), excluding the tourist tax where applicable.

Depending on the selected rate, several payment methods may apply:

  • Full payment at the time of online booking;
  • Bank pre-authorization prior to arrival to guarantee the reservation;
  • Payment according to the terms specified in the booked rate.

The property may require:

  • a valid credit card;
  • a valid form of identification;
  • the presence of the person who made the reservation at check-in.

If the credit card preauthorization is declined or if the reservation cannot be guaranteed in accordance with the terms of the reserved rate, the hotel may cancel the reservation after notifying the guest.

 

Changes and Cancellations

The options for changes or cancellations depend exclusively on the rate booked.

The applicable terms and conditions are reviewed prior to confirming the reservation and are included in the confirmation sent to the guest.

 

Right of Withdrawal

In accordance with Article L.221-28 of the French Consumer Code, lodging services provided on a specific date or at specific intervals are not subject to the right of withdrawal.

 

Check-in and Check-out

Check-in

Rooms are available starting at 3:00 p.m.

Check-out

Rooms must be vacated by 11:00 a.m. at the latest.

Subject to availability, early check-in or late check-out may be offered for an additional fee.

 

Late-Night Arrivals

The front desk is open 24 hours a day.

However, to ensure a high-quality welcome and the security of the hotel, arrivals between 11:00 PM and 5:00 AM are only possible with prior approval from the Hôtel Saint-Charles.

 

Room Occupancy

Rooms are reserved exclusively for guests listed on the reservation or at check-in.

Any additional guests must be registered at the front desk.

The hotel reserves the right to refuse access to any unregistered person or to charge an additional fee when the terms of the reserved rate so provide.

 

Minors

The person making the reservation must be of legal age.

Minors not accompanied by a parent, legal guardian, or expressly authorized adult are not permitted to stay at the hotel alone.

 

Identity Verification

For security reasons, to prevent fraud, and to comply with legal obligations applicable to hotels, the Hôtel Saint-Charles may request the presentation of a valid official form of identification.

The hotel may also verify that the person presenting themselves at the front desk is indeed the person who made the reservation.

If a guest is unable to provide proof of identity or if the information provided appears to be clearly inaccurate, the hotel may refuse access to the room or cancel the reservation in accordance with applicable regulations.

 

Guest Conduct

Guests agree to respect the staff, other guests, and the hotel’s facilities.

Any behavior that is violent, threatening, abusive, discriminatory, or likely to disturb the peace of the hotel may result in the immediate termination of the stay, without a refund.

The following are specifically prohibited:

  • parties;
  • unauthorized gatherings;
  • noise disturbances;
  • any use of the rooms or common areas contrary to their intended purpose.

 

Damage

Any damage found in a room or in common areas may be billed at the actual cost of:

  • repairs;
  • replacement of equipment;
  • any resulting downtime of the room.

 

No Smoking

In accordance with current regulations, the entire facility is strictly non-smoking.

Failure to comply with this ban may result in charges for:

  • restoration costs;
  • deodorization fees;
  • fees related to the room being taken out of service when it cannot be immediately re-rented.

 

Lost and Found

Items found on the premises are held for a reasonable period of time.

They may be returned at the guest’s request, at the guest’s expense and under the guest’s responsibility.

 

Liability

The Hôtel Saint-Charles takes all reasonable measures to ensure the quality of the services provided.

Its liability is limited to the extent provided for by applicable French law.

 

Telemarketing

In accordance with Article L.223-2 of the French Consumer Code, any consumer may register free of charge on the Bloctel do-not-call list.

 

Consumer Mediation

In accordance with Articles L.611-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, any guest who has submitted a written complaint to the Hôtel Saint-Charles’s customer service department and has not received a satisfactory response may file a complaint with the consumer mediator free of charge.

The Hôtel Saint-Charles participates in the MTV (Tourism and Travel Mediation) program through the UMIH.

Submitting a case to the mediator is free of charge and can only be done after a prior attempt to resolve the matter amicably with the establishment.

the right to erasure;

the right to restriction of processing;

the right to object, under the conditions set forth in applicable regulations.

Force Majeure

The Hôtel Saint-Charles shall not be held liable for the total or partial failure to fulfill its obligations in the event of force majeure or exceptional circumstances beyond its control.

 

Governing Law

These General Terms and Conditions of Sale are governed by French law.

In the event of a dispute, the parties shall endeavor to reach an amicable resolution. In the absence of an agreement, the French courts shall have jurisdiction, subject to applicable legal provisions and the prior use of the consumer mediation process where provided for.

 

Updates

These General Terms and Conditions of Sale may be amended at any time.

The applicable version is the one in effect on the date of the customer’s reservation.
